Track Name: Brassicans
For what it's worth it was cool for a while
Rolling around town with a bottle of rockets as if
I could be the man that I despised... At thirteen

I wish that id been cool for a while
Towards the end of the odds of 2000
I could have been guy I hoped to be at sixteen

Well North Dakota's a long ass road from home
and god knows it'd be lonely to go alone
But he knows it won't be me
in the passenger seat between those two car doors
so have fun, and don't find yourself somebody else

Your new 2 room house is too dark
they haven't turned on the lights now yet
so you sit and pass your time in the dark
with an electric lamp and a be alright attitude
you sit and watch the news
you haven't showered in a week
you smell like old breakfast
theirs a puddle in your room

Oh kicking and screaming, with no other meaning than to watch you go away
catatonic forces calling, forced myself to no more calling, how did I stay
Oh captain trash and the battalion of unanswered questions have arrived, and they say
that your stupid, all you're questions have answers, but the answers are one's you don't like
Track Name: ABOAD (A Bit of a Departure)
Got up this morning
I brushed my teeth last night
don't need to brush them again
It'd be a waste of my time
cause I don't smile
and I'm not going to try
I bake todd a pretzel
while I bake my whole life
nobody smells my breath
it smells like death
don't care what anyone says
I'll smoke another cigarette
now my head feels so high
and I'm not going to try
to smile, It won't make me happy

Crawl down into my cave like a bear
lie down and sit as I think unaware
that a while is a winter for some
a small departure from what I once was

I wanna sit still for so long
that my feet grow roots into the ground
I can't change I always do this to people
who walk with me when I sit so still
I'm rooted in my own dumb head
scrolling through texts I wish I'd never sent
a deviation from the guy you know
appraised marked tagged now you've been sold

Crawl down into my cave like a bear
lie down and sit as I think unaware
that a while is a winter for some
a small departure from what I once was (a small departure from what I once was)

my brain is the solitude that I know
pumping plain thoughts to make it grow
oh no I lost my keys, stogs, wallet, watch, and phone
at least I still have my glasses
"things do not change we change"
explain why pocket change changes every day
Henry Thoreau said it, I still don't get it
we don't change we just get old

(surreal chopped vocals)

Crawl down into my cave like a bear
lie down and sit as I think unaware
that a while is a winter for some
a small departure from what I once was
Track Name: Disasteroid (The Rise of Trilessy)
It's a mess this place we think we live
grown men are just their father's kids
riding on a comet for the sun

our minds are made of little pieces
sand and water molded by the ones
we call friends and they're doing the best they fucking can
the little pieces make up all of man

sun-dried mud all over my sneakers
It's caked in good, it's gonna take a couple weeks to rub it out

We spent two whole weeks at the lakes dirty beaches
making lot's of noise and trying not to figure ourselves out
why would we sit in our own minds when we can shout

If planet earth revolves around
a sun that's lightyears leaps and bounds away from us
how come we're worried that this cosmic bomb will blow us up
It's coming closer, six billion years and 200 toasters
ready or not your god's on the floor
you knew it'd be hot, now death's at the door
he's the one who knocks, the tempo is speeding
death wants to know if there's something I'm needing
"you know I think I'm alright
and the shadows I'm seeing are sure as hell bright but...
the disasteroid is coming
and the asteroid I'm on might seem like nothing
but it's one in a million grains of sand
and I get to see it blown up and begin again
Track Name: 200 Years
(Too many pants on)

Sinking, feeling happy all alone
thinking if I swam I could get home
lifeboat, raft ripping from the storm
I don't want to be alone (at all)

Prison wall guards around me
now we really gotta make a change
did you wonder how these scumbags got here
everybody makes mistakes (yeah they knew it)

I hope you're doing better, mama wrote]
light as a feather but you rock the boat
don't think I'm ever gonna get there
sweat where my arms go down and come together

I got five for you and two hands for me
sanctuary guard dogs, I got the key
These Roofdog boys, they got no pants on
Turn off the news! They've got too many pants on!
Track Name: The Fall of Trilessy
The citizens collect their interests into tiny parcels
To be marked up and sold to the highest bidder
Oh they plot and plan a festival
to gather together once each year
and they place all their treasures in a cannonball
to be sent far away from here

The people of Trilessy congregate in the town square
first of all, sings the chairman in his fancy fancy chair
We'd like to thank you, dear citizens
for joining in the festival fair
you are people from wide who join us every year

we don't know where these precious commodities will land
It doesn't seem that we should care at all
They may burn up in a star far away from us
or land on a planet named Brontitall (O yeh)

It's from "Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy,"
gotta be a top ten movie

The bird people native to the planet
might not appreciate our fine wines and bread,
but in the time it takes our package to reach them
you see we'll all be dead.
It's not sad it's just the way it goes,
to be alone full of cosmic horror
but on this planet the least we can do
is share a little part of our story

On that note begin the countdown
Begin the countdown
alright I said begin the countdown
...we gotta begin this countdown

The people of Trilessy look to the sky
their package begins to soar away
their treasures of art an science
begin their journey,
But that day something went horribly wrong,
the ritual cannon began to hum
as their package shot away from them
a malfunction destroyed their sacred gun

The explosion killed the chairman instantly
and it killed every person in that town.
The cannonball destroyed its creators.
It was gone and it left them to drown,
but the chairman was correct
for when the cannonball arrived
in a distant corner of the galaxy
O the people of Trilessy would no longer be alive
Track Name: Fish Guy
Hooked by my mouth
I bit your bait no more swimming for me
I am a fish
people see me flopping around
smacking my head on the ground
and they watch my show
doesn't anybody hear my voice?
raise it up, but nothing comes out when I shout it
feel bound by it
wrong side down
(wrong side down)

Nothing that this fish in me can feel
cast your line on another one and reel
don't come back here this way
no, my mouth can't say you're not a fish
and that's okay
That's okay

Man think It's probably better this way
catch and release then catch me again
my mouth has started bleeding
but you could never catch what I said (I'm dead)
I said hey, I'm just a stupid looking fish
why don't you get your life on let me out of here you...
I can't scream, not with this mouth of mine bleeding
but if I could I'd scream
I won't be needing this

pain that the fish in me can't feel
cast your line on another one and reel
don't come back here this way
no, my mouth can't say you're not a fish
and that's okay (wooooaoo)

(bass and feedback)

put all my gross morose thoughts in this song
numb, slimy, cold body, I'm doing this wrong
don't you look at me with eyes and mouth
makes me feel so fake like a Kilgore trout,
no doubt I'm still a fish
to you, there's nothing to miss
I was a bright young guy, everybody called me Chris
now I'm cold, and I swim, and I eat trash and worms
why does it have to be like this!

Oh nothing that this fish in me can feel
cast your line on another one and reel
don't come back here this way
no, my mouth can't say you're not a fish
and that's okay

Oh nothing that this fish in me can feel
cast your line on another one and reel
don't come back here this way
no, my mouth can't say you're not a fish
and that's okay
that's okay
that's okay
It's gonna be okay
Track Name: Oh No, Lonely!
It's never clearly not your fault
Oh you had your hand in this
she doesn't want to smell you out
you'll have to put a little effort in

(I'd hide)

No more smoking cigarettes
(on the back porch of your parents' house)
No more driving in your car
(no more rolling your windows down)
No more taking baths at noon
(and seeing all your body out)
No more lighting things on fire
(and telling your friends to stay the fuck down)

Oh no, Lonely!
you won't have to hold my waist
there will be no prerogative
you can find your thoughts erased
you can fill your eyes with...
Til there's nothing you can see but me tonight
and I'll try my best to tell you
that your story sounds no good
and you won't try

(I'd hide)

(I can't think that far back now
I can't even say that I used to
You came in with layers on
I was just wearing a T-shirt)

(I'd hide)

I don't know
if I can exist with you
but that's all I seem to be able to do
trust me my head is clear
and it's been clear for a long time
I'm ready to tell you my story...
goodbye

you won't have to hold my waist
there will be no prerogative
you can find your thoughts erased
you can fill your eyes with light!
Til there's nothing you can see but me tonight
and I'll try my best to tell you
that your story sounds no good
and you won't try... goodbye
Track Name: Arm On Cheek Contact
I get so, I get so, I get so

I get so off time
when I think away on the other side of the fence
these thoughts

Oh hey
This person has a lot in common with you
give it a try

fall asleep with me
put your arm around my cheek
and your face on my neck

I don't want this
I don't need you
I can go back to the lie I was used to
but I won't find you there
and I won't find anything

fall asleep with me
put your arm around my cheek
and your face on my neck

fall asleep with me
put your arm around my cheek
and your face on my neck
Track Name: No More Portions
Yeah this music's nice when I'm walking to class
But the record scratches when I take a step
Its stupid to put a Vinyl player in your backpack
(Those are intended for home use only)

If it's too late now, I think i'd like to
tell you all your faults and my pet pieves
If it's too late for me now
then why did i love you

I wanted to tell you about my contemplation
But for all my thinking my brain has run dry
So instead I'll tell you that the problem is people
(They're making a sequel)

At midnight mass tonight we got real high
Maybe god won't talk if you're listening
So will tune him it out and hope those highnotes will break through
(God I don't hate you)

God won't hear my song
and you won't sing along
God won't hear my song
and you won't sing along
